I recently visited Manis Dum Biryani located at New No. 77, 2nd Floor, Aradhana Eye Care Hospital Building, M-5, 3rd Avenue, opposite K4 Police Station, Block M, Anna Nagar East, Chennai – 600102. The restaurant is easy to locate and situated in a convenient and busy area of Anna Nagar. We ordered the IPL Biriyani (₹209), Masaledar Biriyani (₹219), Hot and Spicy Chicken (15 pieces – ₹149), and Gulab Jamun for dessert. The biriyanis were flavorful, aromatic, and well-cooked with perfectly spiced rice and tender meat. The IPL Biriyani had a balanced taste, while the Masaledar Biriyani was slightly richer and spicier, ideal for those who enjoy bold flavors. The Hot and Spicy Chicken starter was crispy, juicy, and excellent in taste – definitely worth the price. The Gulab Jamun was soft and sweet, making it a satisfying end to the meal. The ambience was pleasant, neat, and comfortable. Staff behaviour was polite, friendly, and service was quick. Overall, it was a great dining experience with good food, good ambience, and reasonable pricing. Highly recommended for biriyani lovers in Anna Nagar!

Tried the Boneless Chicken Kebab Biryani here. The biryani had a rich aroma with well-spiced rice, and the flavour was quite satisfying overall. The boneless chicken kebab pieces were soft, juicy, and nicely coated with masala, blending well with the rice. The portion size was good, making it filling for two persons. Spice level was balanced — not too overpowering, yet flavourful enough for biryani lovers. Overall, a reliable spot for a hearty biryani meal, especially if you prefer boneless options.

I recently visited this shop and had an good experience overall! We decided to try their basmati rice biryani and seeraga samba rice biryani, along with a side of chicken 65. Let me start with the basmati rice biryani – it was just ok! The basmati rice was fragrant, fluffy, and perfectly spiced, giving it that authentic homemade biryani taste that reminds you of family gatherings. Each bite was flavorful without being overwhelming, and the quality of the basmati grains really shone through. It quickly became the highlight of our meal. The seeraga samba rice biryani was decent but didn't quite match up – it was okay in terms of texture and aroma, but felt a bit milder and less exciting compared to the basmati version. Still, it's a solid option if you're looking for something lighter. The chicken 65 was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with that spicy kick we all love – a great appetizer to pair with the biryanis. What truly elevated our visit was the service from Haidor. He was attentive, friendly, and went out of his way to recommend dishes and ensure everything was perfect. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. If you're a biryani lover, I recommend this spot, especially for the basmati biryani. Another important thing is we've tried the chicken biryani's only. Note that mutton biryani is only available on weekends.
