Recently visited the iconic Golden Joy in Tangra/China Town, and the experience was absolutely amazing! If you’re looking for authentic Chinese cuisine in Kolkata, this place is definitely worth visiting. We tried their Mixed Hakka Chow, Lemon Chilli Chicken Gravy, BBQ Fish, and a couple of mocktails. The BBQ Fish was honestly the star of the meal — perfectly cooked, smoky, flavorful, and truly authentic in taste. The Lemon Chilli Chicken Gravy paired beautifully with the noodles, and the Hakka Chow had an impressive quantity — one plate is easily enough for two people. The mocktails were also refreshing and tasted really good. Overall, the quantity, quality, and authentic Chinese flavors were just outstanding. A perfect place for anyone who loves authentic Chinatown-style Chinese food. Highly recommended!

The food is great. They add 3pc tip to the final bill, though I am not sure what happens if someone wants to tip less. This should be made explicit before billing. The service needs improvement as serving even pints of beer takes a lot of time and the waiters are not the at their best of politeness. They do serve drinks in the family seating area.
