We had the most incredible breakfast at Spectra during our stay at The Leela Ambience Gurugram. The food quality was outstanding, with a truly impressive variety on the buffet. A special shout-out to Chef Bobby for the fantastic Indian food—everything we tasted was rich in flavor and perfectly spiced. Our steward, Ashish, also provided great service, making sure we had everything we needed at our table. The staff's attention to detail and the delicious spread made our meal a true highlight of our stay. We would highly recommend a visit to Spectra for anyone looking for an amazing dining experience.
I wish I could give a zero star. We received a gift voucher for the Leela hotel (Moments by Leela) for our wedding anniversary, but the entire experience has been nothing short of disappointing. When I reached out to request an extension due to illness in the family, the team flatly refused without any empathy. With only a few days left before expiry, we decided to redeem the voucher at Spectra restaurant by ordering food. From the start, the staff’s attitude was careless and indifferent. On Saturday, they assured us we could use the voucher on Sunday, but when we were almost at the restaurant, they suddenly told us their finance team was on leave and couldn’t process the voucher redemption. This crucial detail could have easily been communicated earlier, saving us the trouble of traveling. When we explained that we had already arrived, they reluctantly agreed to try redeeming the voucher. At 3:00 pm, they asked us to place our order, only to inform us that the tandoor wouldn’t be ready before 7:00 pm. We understood and arranged for a porter to pick up the food at 7:15. However, at 6:35 pm—after all the back and forth—the staff called to say the voucher wasn’t activated. This could have been checked and communicated much earlier in the day. I attempted to activate the voucher myself but faced technical issues on their end. When I asked for help, the staff simply shrugged off any responsibility, leaving me to spend over an hour on the phone with customer support. It’s shocking that a hospitality brand would be so unconcerned about a guest’s experience. After finally resolving the voucher issue, the food was packed so poorly that the porter refused to deliver it, fearing spillage. When I asked the hotel to arrange delivery, they quoted an absurd fee of Rs 7,500 plus taxes for a short distance within Gurgaon—far more than what any local service charges. When I questioned this, the staff’s response was dismissive: “If you want the food, book a porter.” By then, it was nearly 9 pm. Frustrated and seeing no other option, I booked an Uber myself. The food arrived cold and the entire evening was ruined. I am extremely unhappy with the overall experience. Thank you, team Leela, for not only ruining our special occasion but also ensuring you’ve lost customers for life. I would never recommend Spectra to anyone.
I was a repeat customer of this Restaurant for this delicious food. So today I also decided to repeat memories. But I don't know their team is changed or what? They lunch buffet was tasteless. Food was a big mess, stale food, no service. Food sevice was poorest. So decided, never to visit this restaurant again in my life.
