Maravanthe Coastal Cuisine is a fantastic place if you’re craving authentic coastal flavours. We had a great time here and ended up trying quite a spread of dishes. We ordered prawns butter garlic, seer (surmai) tava fry, bangda (mackerel) pulimunchi, neer dosa, appam, shellfish sukka, squid rava fry, and prawns biryani. Everything was flavourful and well prepared, with the seafood tasting fresh and nicely spiced. The pulimunchi had that perfect tangy kick, and the rava fry items were crispy and satisfying. The neer dosa and appam paired really well with the gravies. For drinks, we tried sol kadhi, kokum soda, and kokum juice, which were all refreshing and balanced out the richness of the meal. The place itself looks a bit dated, but it’s well maintained and clean. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, which added to the overall experience. Also worth mentioning, the washrooms were very clean, which is always a plus. Overall, a great spot for coastal cuisine in Indiranagar with solid food and warm service. Definitely worth visiting.
We had a wonderful lunch at this spacious restaurant serving coastal food from Mangalore. The silver fish and grilled king fish (surmai) starters were crisp and nice. The main course of prawn pullimunchi was tangy and flavorful and we also liked the mutton sukha and chicken kundapur that we had with neer dosa. The egg ghee roast too were delicious although the chicken ghee roast was a bit chewy. The portions were quite generous. The service was attentive and brisk and overall it was a very positive eating experience.
Recently heard about this 8 year old restaurant and visited right away because I love sea food. Good food as long as you stick to the sea food. Good service. Specially want to mention the prawn curry which is outstanding.
