A long-drawn meeting at BKC and it was 4pm… I was tried, hungry and less than satisfied with the outcome of the meeting. A short walk put in front of a newly opened restaurant (vegetarian) and a quick look to the building bought the Irish House board… Hmmm……… Beer… and the old saying God made beer because he loves us and wants us to be happy sprang to mind. So Irish House it was, for lunch / high tea…. or what beer and food is called at 4 in the evening. I walked in to near empty house, and the waiter was nice to inform me of their lunch break combo. Jolly Good… So, it was skewed Jamaican Chicken for starters, Something Fishy for the main course and vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce to finish things off. And beer in between to wash things down. The food was good, value for money. Service wonderful. Loved the quiet (considering how things were before).

My first visit to this Irish bar was during happy hours, but I still found it to be on the pricier side. We went during the Enrique show, and it was fully packed, which seemed to affect the service quality. The vibes were great, and the food we ordered was good, but considering the prices, I didn’t find it to be great value for money (hence deducting a star)

Their menu offers a hearty mix of comfort food and pub favorites think loaded nachos, beer battered fish, crispy fries, and juicy burgers. The drinks list is impressive, with a wide range of craft beers, cocktails, and signature blends. The music is upbeat, often rock or indie, creating the perfect backdrop for a weekend evening with friends.
