106-year-old legendary breakfast spot that truly lives up to its reputation. The benne masala dosa was surprisingly thick, yet perfectly crunchy – rich with ghee and full of flavour. Absolutely loved it. What really shocked me (in a good way) was the chow chow bath. It’s extremely simple, but powerful in taste – both the kesari and khara sides felt clean, balanced and comforting. The place is tiny and always packed, but the food is reasonably priced and genuinely tasty. Despite the limited space, it’s totally worth the hype. 👉 A must-visit breakfast spot for vegetarians in Bengaluru. Central Tiffin Room❤
Came here with high expectations due to the hype, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to it. The Benne Masala Dosa was more oily than buttery, and the Set Dosa was literally oozing with oil. While the Poori Sagu was okay, I’ve had much better at the classic, old-school joints in Bangalore. The atmosphere is incredibly noisy—you can’t even have a conversation or enjoy your meal in peace. The only saving grace was the Filter Coffee, which was actually good. Overall, it's not worth the visit for me and I won't be heading back.
The ambience of the place feels very nostalgic and reflects the charm of the 70s era. It has a two-storeyed seating arrangement along with a separate AC hall. Although there was seating available in the non-AC area, we chose to sit in the AC section. We ordered one Set Dosa, which was served with sago, and two Butter Masala Dosas that came with two types of chutney but no sambar. One of the chutneys had a mint flavour but was unfortunately too salty, making it difficult to eat. Overall, the taste of the food felt quite ordinary. We also ordered filter coffee, but it was very light and the milk didn’t seem to be properly boiled. Perhaps we were just unfortunate on that particular day, but the overall experience was not good enough for us. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the food, so I would not recommend this place based on our visit.
