Horrible Experience. I had a very DISTURBING and DISAPPOINTING experience at the NISARGA DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE on 31st May when I went for an AFC (Antral Follicle Count) scan on Day 2 of my menstrual cycle, as prescribed by my doctor. Before booking, I specifically called the centre on 30th May and confirmed with the receptionist that AFC scans were performed there. I was assured that they were. During the scan, I informed Dr. REVATHI V (the Radiologist) that I was there specifically for an AFC scan and asked whether it would be done abdominally or through TVS. She initially performed a very brief abdominal scan for only a few seconds before saying she could not see anything and asked me to undergo a transvaginal scan. One of the most concerning parts of the experience was during the transvaginal scan itself. When Dr. Revathi attempted to insert the TVS probe, it appeared that she was unable to position it correctly despite multiple attempts. I informed her that the probe did not seem to be going in the correct place. She then handed the probe to her junior assistant, who proceeded to insert it instead. As a patient undergoing an intimate and sensitive procedure, it was extremely uncomfortable and unsettling to witness this. It significantly reduced my confidence in the doctor's competence and experience in performing the scan. What followed was even more concerning. During the procedure, Dr. Revathi asked her assistant/typist to check what "AFC" meant. Even after I explained that AFC stands for Antral Follicle Count, there appeared to be confusion regarding the purpose of the scan. Throughout the examination, she seemed uncertain while reviewing the images and did not discuss follicle count, ovarian assessment, or any findings typically associated with an AFC scan. After the scan, I personally observed Dr.Revathi and her staff searching online (Google) for information about AFC. This further undermined my confidence in the accuracy and reliability of the examination and the report issued. When I sought clarification, I was told that I could get the test repeated elsewhere if I was not satisfied. Another staff member incorrectly stated that AFC is performed to check ovulation, which was surprising given that AFC scans are performed in the early days of the menstrual cycle to assess ovarian reserve. The situation became even more concerning when, after I expressed my intention to escalate the matter, the centre suddenly offered to have a senior doctor repeat the scan the following day. This raised serious questions about the reliability of the original scan and report. I was also assured that a senior member of management would contact me the next morning, however, no one followed up. Additionally, despite the concerns I raised regarding the quality of the service, the staff repeatedly emphasized payment before releasing the report, which left a very poor impression. As a patient, I expect competent medical professionals, accurate diagnostics, transparency, and accountability. Unfortunately, my experience reflected a lack of expertise, poor communication, and an absence of ownership when serious concerns were raised. I would strongly advise prospective patients to exercise CAUTION and to seek clarification regarding the qualifications and experience of the radiologist performing specialized scans before proceeding with investigations at this centre.

The reports were generated quickly and accurately. Special mention to MADAM MONIC, who was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. Her kindness and expertise made a big difference in what could have been a stressful experience. The lab's attention to detail and commitment to quality are truly commendable. Highly recommend!"
