P.L. Deshpande Udyan, also known as the Pune Okayama Friendship Garden on Sinhagad Road, is one of Pune’s most peaceful escapes. Spread across 10 acres, this beautifully designed Japanese-style garden is inspired by the famous Korakuen Garden in Okayama, Japan.😇 The moment you step inside, the greenery, calm water bodies, and little bridges create a soothing atmosphere that makes you forget the city’s rush. It’s beautifully maintained, and every walk through its pathways feels refreshing. The garden is open only in the mornings and evenings, which makes the experience even more special—you visit at the quietest, most beautiful times of the day. Entry is through a small ticket, but it’s worth every rupee for the tranquility and beauty you find inside. 🌼 For me, it’s not just a garden, but a place to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with nature. Each visit leaves me lighter, calmer, and grateful for such a serene space in the middle of Pune.😇☺

One of the best and clean theme based nature green park! They well maintained this garden with artificial river, waterfall, lake! Most of the plantation & sitting area has Japanese touch. Entry is just nominal charge of 5 rupees! Parking for two & four wheelers available! Wonderful place to spend time with family! Cleanliness is top class! Highly recommended!

I recently visited P. L. Deshpande Udyan for the Kalagram Handloom Collection event, and it turned out to be a really refreshing experience. The garden is beautifully maintained — clean walkways, lush greenery, and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot to relax amidst nature. The Kalagram handloom exhibition added a wonderful cultural touch to the visit. There were many stalls showcasing traditional handloom products, crafts, and art from different regions of India. The arrangements were well-organized, and the area around the exhibition was kept tidy despite the large crowd. The garden itself is very scenic — neatly trimmed lawns, colorful flowers, small water bodies, and Japanese-style landscaping make it ideal for photography or simply taking a calm walk. Seating areas are well-planned, and the staff ensures the garden stays clean and disciplined. Parking is available and convenient, though it can get crowded during events. Entry fees are reasonable, and it’s a great place for families, couples, and nature lovers alike. Overall: A perfect blend of culture and nature. The Kalagram event made the visit even more enjoyable, and the garden’s cleanliness and beauty are truly praiseworthy. Definitely worth visiting again! 🌿✨
