I visited Birla Mandir yesterday and had a very peaceful experience. The temple is beautifully maintained and the atmosphere is calm and spiritual. The architecture is stunning, and the view from the temple is also very nice. It’s a perfect place to spend some quiet time and feel positive. Definitely worth visiting if you are in the area.
Visiting Birla Mandir in Hyderabad was a memorable experience! Perched atop the 280-ft high Naubat Pahad hill on a 13-acre plot, this temple is an architectural marvel made from about 2,000 tons of pristine white marble sourced from Rajasthan. Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, the stunning granite idol inside is around 11 ft tall with a carved lotus canopy above it, and the premises feature a 42-ft brass flagstaff. The design beautifully blends Dravidian, Rajasthani, and Utkala architectural styles, and finely carved depictions from the Ramayana and Mahabharata add to the spiritual ambiance. The temple is open daily from early morning to evening with no entry fee, offering peaceful darshan and stunning panoramic views of Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Hussain Sagar Lake from the elevated site. It’s well-connected by public transport, but be prepared for limited parking near the hilltop. Whether you come for spirituality, photography (outside the main shrine), or simply to enjoy the serene setting, Birla Mandir is a must-visit landmark that beautifully captures art, devotion, and city views in one place.
very peaceful and beautiful temple. It is made of white marble and looks amazing, especially in the evening. The temple is clean and well maintained. From the top, you can see a nice view of the city. It is a good place for prayer, relaxation, and spending quiet time. Overall, it is a must-visit place in Hyderabad.
