Christ University

My alma mater. I have many wonderful memories here. However, the biggest issue for me wasn’t attendance, as most people claim. It was the generally hostile attitude I experienced from some staff, both teaching and non-teaching. As a student, I rarely felt any sense of empathy. This may differ across departments, but this was my experience at the School of Business and Management. There were a few supportive faculty members, but they were too few and too far apart. Many staff members seemed overly suspicious of students and occasionally created unnecessary hurdles. Some minor annoyances also include the unavailability of mobile network throughout the campus, over-crowding (there are about 22k students in the Central campus), strict dress code (no beards, no sneakers and ties compulsory for guys). That said, the university itself is remarkable. The exposure you get, the beautiful pristine campus, good placements, and endless fests make Christ University deservedly one of Bengaluru’s top institutions. Special shoutout to the quizzing culture in campus, it helped me discover something I’m genuinely passionate about. Would I do it all over again? Sure. Undergrad helped me grow massively as a person and helped me discover what I'm good at. But I do hope they work on the concerns I’ve mentioned, especially considering how strongly they emphasise values.

Good place to study in, nice campus area with a lot of cool places to hang out it and also has a lot of cafeterias around the campus with many types of food available. The whole campus has a lot of trees which is very calming and peaceful

Christ University is widely regarded as having good infrastructure, solid placements in many fields, and a lively campus culture, but it’s also known for strict rules, demanding academics, and some bureaucratic hassles. Individual experience can vary a lot depending on the course, the campus, and personal expectations.
