The cafe has a really nice atmosphere with well-designed interiors, creating a cozy and pleasant vibe. Both indoor and outdoor seating options were available, which adds to the overall comfort and flexibility. The staff were courteous, attentive, and well-behaved. Service was quick and efficient. One thing to note is that only chargeable drinking water was provided. We tried a few continental dishes — the portion sizes were adequate and the taste was good. However, the sautéed vegetables didn’t seem very fresh, which slightly impacted the overall food experience. The cappuccino and latte were visually appealing with nice latte art. However, taste-wise they leaned more towards bitterness and lacked balance. A complimentary cookie was served, which was a nice touch. They also offer in-house bakery products, but most are made with refined flour. It would be great to see more options made from whole wheat and some gluten-free items as well. Expanding the range with better varieties of croissants, muffins, cookies, and brownies that pair well with coffee would definitely enhance the menu. Washroom facilities were available and well maintained. Overall, a nice place to visit with good ambiance and service, with some room for improvement in food freshness and menu variety.

I had heard quite good things about this place, so went there for my wife's birthday dinner. The experience was top notch. It is a cosy and homely cafe. The owner himself was present and attending to his guests. There was hardly any waiting time for the food to arrive after we ordered. The service was perfect and each of the food items was excellent. We ordered a Hazelnut Cappuccino, Sri Lankan Devilled Fish, Prawn Popper with Salsa and Chicken Winter Sun Fritters as starters. The prawns were so fresh and juicy as was the Kolkata Bhetki fish. For the main course, we had Tulaipanji Spinach Risotto, Mocking Birds in the 'Room and Shrimp Scampi. The risotto made with Bengali Tulaipanji rice was the best we have had in Kolkata so far and even better than the ones made with Arborio rice. We ordered a Tiramisu for dessert, but the base felt too wet and the portion size was too small for the price. All the items were on the higher side but the taste justified the price in all the cases but for the Tiramisu. Definitely worth the positive reviews.
