Lakshmi Coffee House in Noida is one of those places you visit as much for nostalgia as for the food. I used to come here in 1992/93 and then coming back felt like stepping back into the same familiar simplicity that has defined this place for decades. The charm of Lakshmi Coffee House lies in its no-frills approach — prompt service, consistent flavours, and the comforting feel of an old-school South Indian café that has been around for more than 30 years. This time we had rasa vada, which had wonderfully authentic flavours, a rawa masala dosa (which could have been a bit crisper), and a paper masala dosa that was quite good. Everything came with the classic sambar and chutneys, simple and satisfying. We ended the meal the right way — with their filter coffee, which still tastes just as comforting as ever. This isn’t the place you go looking for fancy plating or trendy twists — it’s where you come for a quick, honest South Indian meal and a bit of nostalgia. Always nice to come back.
This is a place for nostalgia and not about the best South Indian food! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and went back today after a gap of over 5-6 years. Still the same flavours, the same prompt service, the same simplicity! The consistency of quality and simplicity is outstanding and it’s understandable that first timers would compare this to over popular places. This is where you come back to have a quick snack without the frills…
This iconic place has been the go-to place for South Indian food lovers in and around Noida. Have been visiting it for years but recently on nov'26 felt that the quality was not the same, still a lot better than others around. They have managed to keep the prices quite in limit, which is wonderful. Must visit if you're around.
