One of my friends referred this restobar to us. When we reached, there was a power issue during our reservation time, but the staff managed it very well. Till then, we waited in the living room area, which was quite pleasant and comfortable. The ambience and drinks were good — we tried the “watermelon mocktail” and it was worth trying. Later, we shifted to the outdoor terrace area. The food was really good overall. COIN PARROTTA AND KATTAFI PRAWNS are a must-try. Among the vegetarian options, the “wild mushroom crespelle”tasted great, and the mushroom gravy was also nice. However, the outdoor smoking area is not well separated, which made it a bit uncomfortable for non-smokers. This is something the management should look into. Also, the music and DJ setup definitely need improvement in both indoor and outdoor areas — these were the main drawbacks. Apart from these, everything else was good and the place is definitely worth a visit.”
A Cozy Spot with Amazing Flavors, Great Music, and Top-Notch Service I recently visited The Living Room and had a really pleasant experience overall. The moment you walk in, the place feels warm and cozy — a perfect setup for a relaxed dinner or a casual night out with friends. Their cocktail selection is impressive, and the drinks were mixed beautifully with great balance and flavor. The music was great and added to the vibe, though it was a bit loud at times. Still, it helped create a lively atmosphere. The food was the real highlight. The tandoori pomfret was absolutely outstanding — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of smoky flavor. Easily one of the best I’ve had. The loose prawns were okay; they were cooked well but didn’t stand out as much as the fish. I also tried the naan with chicken tikka masala, and the gravy was delicious — rich, creamy, and full of depth. I wasn’t entirely happy with the chicken itself though; it could have been more tender and flavorful. What truly stood out was the service. The staff were attentive, polite, and genuinely warm, making the whole experience even better. Overall, The Living Room is definitely worth a visit for its cozy ambience, great music, excellent cocktails, and delicious dishes — especially the tandoori pomfret. With a slight improvement in the chicken quality, it would easily be perfect.
Living Room Restaurant & Bar in Chennai hits the sweet spot for cocktails and traditional food. Cocktails are well-made and balanced; kallu kadai prawns and beef coin parotta are standout dishes—full of flavour and perfectly spiced. Service is friendly, but staffing seems thin at times so you may wait a bit. Cozy vibe, great for a relaxed or fun night out with family or friends!
