I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Pooja Goyal and the entire team at National Institute of Ophthalmology (NIO), Ghole Road, Shivajinagar for the excellent care and treatment I received. For the past 20 years, I had been suffering from persistent watering of the eyes along with recurrent infections. The problem was caused by a blockage in the tear drainage passage connecting the tear gland to the nose. Over the years, I was prescribed Norflox eye drops by my previous doctor. Initially, the drops provided relief, but over time they stopped being effective. I began experiencing frequent eye infections, redness, itching, and continuous discomfort, which significantly affected my daily life. When I consulted Dr. Pooja Goyal at NIO, she carefully examined my condition and clearly explained that the permanent solution would require a DCR (Dacryocystorhinostomy) surgery. She patiently addressed all my concerns and reassured me about the high success rate of the procedure, especially considering the advancements in modern medical technology and surgical techniques. Her confidence and clarity gave me immense trust and comfort. The surgery lasted approximately 40 minutes and was performed under local anesthesia. Dr. Goyal led a team of two assisting doctors, and the entire procedure was conducted smoothly and efficiently. The professionalism, coordination, and expertise of the team were truly commendable. It has now been a week since the surgery, and I am completely relieved. There is no more watering of the eyes, no itching, no redness, and no irritation. After suffering for two decades, the relief feels remarkable and life-changing. I would also like to highlight the overall environment at the National Institute of Ophthalmology. The hospital is extremely clean, well-maintained, and hygienic. Being one of the oldest and most reputed eye hospitals in the city, their systematic approach, ethical conduct, and highly qualified medical team instill great confidence in patients. Every member of the staff was courteous, professional, and supportive throughout the process. My sincere thanks to the entire NIO team, and especially to Dr. Pooja Goyal, for their dedication, expertise, and compassionate care. I highly recommend NIO to anyone seeking specialized and trustworthy eye care treatment.

One of the best hospitals for eye related treatments. The hospital is well organized and the staff is supportive and professional, making the entire process very smooth. We had a cataract surgery performed by Dr. Nikhil and we are extremely happy with the successful outcome. Highly recommended!
