Swagath is one of those places that reminds you why some restaurants don’t need to chase trends. They just need to get the basics right. The menu is extensive and comforting, especially if you enjoy classic Indian flavours done well. We started with Gobhi 65 and Paneer Tikka Shashlik, both well-spiced, properly cooked, and exactly what you expect when you come to a place like this. For mains, it was a very satisfying spread. The Dal Makhani was rich, buttery, and slow-cooked the way it should be, while the Paneer Lababdar was creamy, gently smoky, and paired beautifully with the assortment of breads. Everything felt hearty and familiar in the best way. The mocktails were refreshing and well-balanced, and the meal ended on a high with a sizzling brownie that was the perfect way to bookend the dinner. Service is warm, efficient, and unpretentious, which adds to the overall experience.
Went to Swagath after years recently and we can tell you that this was nothing short of nostalgia for us. The iconic Indian food served with wholesome smiles with portion sizes that reminds us why we often visited this place with our entire family. They have North Indian, the classic South Indian and indie Chinese that we grew up eating. Here’s what we got ourselves for lunch - Jeera paani - sweet yet chatpata with boondi, the perfect and most refreshing summer drink that’s ever made. Paneer tikka - well marinated, well spiced paneer chunks with charred capsicum and onion, it cannot get better than this. Chicken sampler - an assortment of lehsuni chicken tikka, malai tikka and nawabi chicken tikka. Butter chicken - a little on the sweeter side, the way OG Delhiites remember eating it. Absolutely wholesome when paired with garlic naan. Dal makhani - the creamiest, most indulgent version we’ve had in a while. Loved it with our laccha parantha. Ended it on the sweetest note with the sizzling brownie with a generous portion of chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream! It is still in the game, some of these original outlets can still out do the new ones. They aren’t dated, they are evolving and that’s what we like about them. If you haven’t checked this place out lately, then this is your sign to do so!
If you are visiting ambience mall, you must visit swagath. They serve authentic Indian food. I started with their special tandoori Dawat. This is a platter tandoori paneer tikka, mushroom tikka, kebab, soya tikka, also the crispy corn was also amazing. I tried some of their mocktails, and they were fresh and refreshing. For the main i ordered classic, paneer lababdar, malai kofta with tandoori roti and garlic naan. Malai kofta was rich, silky and creamy. Must try the gulab jamun. It was warm, silky and perfect. Must visit, highly recommended
