To be honest, I couldn’t get a reservation anywhere else and I was quite hungry, so I decided to visit this place. The experience was decent overall. I liked it, but not enough to say I was completely impressed, especially when it comes to the food. It was okay—not bad, but nothing that really stood out or made me want to come back specifically for a particular dish. The service was fine and the staff were polite. The ambiance is pleasant and relaxed, which makes it a comfortable spot to spend some time. It’s not necessarily a place I’d choose for a special occasion, but it works well for casual plans. Overall, it’s a good place to hang out with friends, have conversations, and spend some time together without too many expectations about the food.
We were going to attend a show at The Comedy Theatre next door. At first we landed at Araku but it was fully occupied so we decided to try this place on a whim before heading to the show. IIRC Farhan was our host for this visit. We ordered an Espresso and Latte along with dough balls and garlic bread. We liked the quality of bread and decided to visit again for dinner after the show. Just to be safe, made a quick booking on District for dinner. For Dinner, Monu was our host. We ordered Chicken Pesto Pizza with Romana base/thin crust. Loved it!! Chicken Meatballs were also yum. For dessert, we ordered a chocolate cheesecake. No problems with paying via District at the end. Good service and food. Definitely visiting again if not here then at one of their other outlets.
Our lunch companion wanted to eat Pizza and PE beaconed us for lunch today. The space is bright and spacious and we found a table quickly. The menu has a decent selection of pizza, pasta, salads and drinks include wine cocktails. We order a poached pear goats cheese salad, veg buratta and chicken makhani pizza, the newly introduced chicken bowl and finally a sticky toffee cake. The salad was really fresh and the pizzas were really good and tasty. My chicken bowl was pretty wholesome with large helping of rice, sauted veggies and soft grilled chicken. But I felt the bowl was a tad too greasy and while I was expecting a more western style sauce, it was like a makhani style curry and felt like I was eating dal-chawal! The desert was really yum. Service by Manju was fabulous. She had such a charming demeanor, my brother had ordered a lime soda and they had mixed some mint in it and she noticed my brother not drinking after an initial sip and came to ask if it was ok and without prompting said. "Looks like you don't like the mint, let me replace it".. It's so rare to see genuinely perceptive service. Worth a visit for sure
