We had a scrumptious lunch today for the second time at this outlet. There is no complaints. Amazing staff, yummy food and clean ambience. The seating is also very comfortable. We tried their gunpowder idli, dasaprakash special dosa, and the south indian platter along with gajar halwa and lemonades.huge thanks to Arjun, Govind and Mehereen for making it a memorable one
This is a really good place for the variety in south Indian Food. You will not find much unique items but the menu is good enough for a decent choice of south indian meals. Pricing is slightly high as compared to the quantity of the food served. We really liked the medu vada as it was freshly prepared and was super crisp and delicious. Second item which we will recommend is cocktail idli which is served with gunpowder coating. Really good starter. Dosas were crisp and well done. Chutneys were a bit of let down especially green and coconut Chutneys. Not really very good taste, kind of bland. Good atmosphere for a family dining.
This was my second visit to Dasaprakash, and honestly, it just confirmed why I liked it the first time. We went in for lunch and had a thoroughly satisfying meal—no complaints at all. The ambience is clean, calm, and comfortable, making it a nice spot for a relaxed family meal. We tried quite a bit this time: gunpowder idli, the Dasaprakash special dosa, a South Indian platter, medu vada, cocktail idli, gajar halwa, and lemonades. The medu vada was freshly made, super crisp, and easily one of the best items on the table. The cocktail idli coated with gunpowder was another highlight—simple, tasty, and a great starter. Dosas were crisp and well-cooked, exactly how they should be. The chutneys, especially the green and coconut ones, were a bit of a letdown for me—slightly bland compared to the rest of the food. But the overall experience still held strong. The Mahalakshmi Bhojanam Thali was wholesome and filling, and the unlimited breakfast option (₹299) is excellent value, with unlimited food and a choice of buttermilk or filter coffee. The staff deserves a special mention—everyone was warm, attentive, and made the experience genuinely pleasant. Service throughout was quick and courteous. The menu doesn’t have too many unusual or experimental dishes, but it offers a solid variety of South Indian favourites. Pricing is slightly on the higher side for the portion sizes, but the quality and service balance it out. All in all, Dasaprakash feels a bit underrated for a CP restaurant. Good food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere—I’ll definitely be coming back again.
