We stayed at nirvana building since the original resort is under construction. Our experience was okay. Not excellent but not that bad either. Great location, nice helpful people although they are understaffed. Pros - - Staff is helpful although most of them seem to not know much and they redirect to the same person. They are heavily understaffed. - Good location - The overall place is nice and beautiful. - Activities - Activities are halted for the time being although boating was good and the free foot/head massage provided as part of the package was also good. - Food was okay-ish. Cons - Nirvana rooms are not well maintained - Acs are broken, Tv was not working in our room even after they tried a lot. They shifted us to a different room but that room also has the same issues. - Activities - Activities are reduced but maybe they can keep a more indoor activities. Carrom did not have powder (which they could not provide as well) so wasn't much fun and fussball had broken handles. - Food - Food was very mid although the time taken to prepare it was huge (understaffed I would think). So be prepared to order at least 45 mins in advance. - Wifi - not reliable at all. Given the reduced price at the moment, I would say it was okay. Although I would visit it after the renovations are done. The rooms seemed pretty old with an old dampy smell which most rooms have. The atmosphere was very boring with not much to do honestly. Just stayed inside the room most of the time and visited aquavilla and did a bit of boating. They are just trying to keep the boat afloat for the time being with as little expenses as possible. Not really working on giving us the best experience for the time being. Footnote - Amtala crossing traffic is terrible. Local authorities should either try to manage traffic better or create a few alternate and parallel routes to bypass the crossing. Took me 35 minutes for the last 2 kms in a car.
I have been visiting the place for last 15 years. i normally stay on weekends. far from kolkata but good value for money. Beautiful property and lush greenery. The resort is quite tranquil once inside, with large lawns, water bodies, and good space to relax. Pool and recreational areas are well‐maintained. Good options for kids and families. The food is decently good, especially the buffet and variety. Breakfast has many options. Staff are generally courteous and helpful, especially in dealing with small issues
We booked a banglow N5 for work purpose. Challenges we faced were lack of set up. Good for fun and recreational activities but not for work purpose.
