This was my first experience at Aku's at Priya Vasant kunj. I had the Truffleshroom and Chalapeno burgers. These were one of the best est burgers i had in India. Food quality is good and the ambience is light and enjoyable. One one comment is that the coffe could be better.
The burger joint is situated in the main PVR Priya building, but on the side. Inside, there are enough tables too seat at least 20-30 people, and a delightful little ‘outdoor cabin’ (not really outdoor, just with a door separating it from the restaurant proper) where you can sit if you have a pet along. Decorated in shades of grey and bright yellow, it’s stylish but friendly. The burgers hold centre stage, with plenty of options, both veggie and not. It all sounded so good, we had a hard time deciding, but we finally chose the lamb meister (with bacon), the fishwich, and the triton (with crumb-fried prawns). Along with that, we ordered a side of onion rings and another of fries with salt and parsley. Unusually for a restaurant specialising in this informal sort of dining, Aku’s serves beer besides the usual array of cold and hot beverages, though we didn’t have anything to drink. The food was uniformly excellent: very tasty, soft burger buns and juicy patties, flavourful sauces. And really good fries as well as onion rings. Highly recommended.
If in the mood to have great burgers, definitely visit Aku’s. The ambience is great, the food is just wow and the service was also super quick. We tried: 1. Master Wu (Veg) burger - 4.5/5 (Tried mushroom burger for the first time and I definitely left being a fan of this idea!!) 2. Homemade Paprika powder fries - 5/5 (Fresh, warm and that masala was soo good) We had Coke zero along as none of the beverages option looked tempting! The other part was that its a little pricy for a burger place!! However, definitely worth it if you wanna have it once in a while :)
