Ambience & View: The rooftop setup offers a good ambience and a nice view. However, ongoing construction noise is quite loud and overpowers the restaurant’s music, which affects the overall experience. Service: Service was polite and generally good, though at times the staff seemed unsure about how certain dishes were prepared. Food & Drinks: Chicken Pahadi Kebab: This was the only dish which deserved the appreciation. Chicken cooked with green sauce and layered with egg omlette. Wowza. Mexican Nacho Plate: Tasted different compared to other places. Chicken Loaded Nachos: Did not truly live up to the “loaded” description. While the dish looked good when served and initially appeared well-loaded, that impression didn’t hold. Regular nachos weren’t used; instead, it tasted more like jeera-flavoured nachos. Beyond the top layer, nearly half of the nachos were plain, with no salsa, melted cheese, or chicken. Pina Colada: Lacked the distinct coconut and pineapple flavours. It was noticeably sweeter than usual. Tropical Beer Mocktail: Served as a non-alcoholic mocktail, but tasted more like Coca-Cola with excessive ice rather than a tropical drink. Overall: Good rooftop ambience and decent service, but construction noise and underwhelming food and drinks take away from the experience. With better execution of dishes and drinks, the place has potential.
visited High Garden for lunch during a college reunion. We chose this place mainly because it looked spacious in the pictures and we wanted a setting where everyone could sit comfortably and catch up. The restaurant is tucked away in a lane behind WTC on SB Road. It is easy to locate if you follow Google Maps, which takes you straight to the gate. The restaurant is on the top floor and there is ample parking available. The space itself is quite large and comfortable, which worked well for a group gathering. We ordered a mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian starters, and honestly, they were all equally good. The cocktails deserve a special mention. They were well made and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the food and ambience. That said, the service was a bit of a letdown. It was surprisingly slow even though not all tables were occupied. In fact, when we arrived, we were the only guests, yet the orders took quite a while to come out. The staff could also use a bit more training, especially when it comes to communication. Pronunciation was an issue at times and a few things they said were difficult to understand. Another small inconvenience was that cocktails arrived one at a time, so we had to wait until everyone had their drink before we could start. On the positive side, the washrooms were clean and well maintained, which always makes a difference. Will I go back again? Yes, I would give it another try. Preferably in the evening, because I am sure the view from the top floor would be much better then.
