Had been to Indian Accent, Mumbai today for lunch. Our meal started with the Blue Cheese Naan and Indian Accent Shorba. I really liked the shorba — it was creamy and had a very balanced taste. The blue cheese naan, however, was not to my liking as the flavour was quite overpowering. We had also ordered Raspberry Soda and Cherry Cola, but both didn’t appeal to my taste. We then ordered the Pulled Jackfruit Phulka Taco, which was one of the highlights. It had a subtle pickled taste that made it unique and very enjoyable. The Anar and Churan Kulfi served as a palate cleanser was refreshing and a nice touch. For mains, we had Laccha Paratha, Chur Chur Naan, 100 Layer Paneer, Tamatar Chaman and Nadru, and Dal Moradabadi. The Dal Moradabadi stood out with its fried dal texture and slight tanginess, offering a flavour profile different from dals served elsewhere. We finished with Daulat ki Chaat, which was excellent. The dessert was light, delicate, and not overly sweet, just perfect. Service was excellent. The server explained each dish in detail and was very attentive throughout, ensuring a seamless dining experience. The highlights of the meal were the Jackfruit Taco, Dal Moradabadi, and Daulat ki Chaat. Overall, it was a well-curated and memorable dining experience.

An unforgettable dining experience! We had an absolutely wonderful evening at Indian Accent. The food was delectable — so good that we ended up ordering almost the entire à la carte menu! Every dish was thoughtfully crafted, flavourful, and had that signature modern twist the restaurant is known for. We were literally eating with our hands because it was that delicious. A special mention to Chef Rijul Gulati, who guided us beautifully through the seasonal offerings. Since it’s winter, he recommended the saag and a few other seasonal vegetables — each one cooked to perfection and presented with a contemporary flair. It truly felt like Indian cuisine elevated with the most innovative and modern touch. The highlight of the night, however, was the makhan malai and the daulat ki chaat. Being from the North, and having grown up craving these winter delicacies, this was pure nostalgia. The makhan malai was the softest cloud — airy, delicate, and absolutely divine. The perfect end to an already exceptional meal. Everything we ate was wonderful, and the experience from start to finish was memorable. Highly recommended!

Underwhelming experience I visited Indian Accent for my birthday on Jan 10th. While the presentation of the food is undoubtedly beautiful, the overall experience didn't live up to the reputation or the price tag. Despite having a reservation and seeing many empty tables, we were made to wait outside for 15 minutes. The food was "fine," but nothing was particularly memorable. We tried the pulled jackfruit tacos, chicken tikka meatballs, the hundred layer paneer and a few other items, but none stood out in terms of flavor. The Daulat Ki Chaat was just okay, and while the complimentary roasted almond dessert was a nice gesture, it was quite underwhelming. The drinks (G&T, Campari, and Caol Ila) were significantly overpriced. For the total cost, you could enjoy a much better meal at two other high-end restaurants. Great for photos, but I wouldn't recommend it for the food or value.
