We visited Gram Bangla Retreat two weeks ago with friends, and it was an absolute delight! The food was delicious and perfectly prepared, and the service was top-notch—every staff member was incredibly helpful and caring, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The highlight was the evening free song event; it was awesome and made our nights so enjoyable. We can't thank you enough for such a memorable experience. One small suggestion: adding a swimming pool would make it even better!
The first thing that strikes visitors is the resort's seamless blend of traditional aesthetics and modern comfort. The architecture draws inspiration from classic Bengali village homes, featuring wooden finishes, thatched-style roofs, and open verandas. The lush greenery surrounding the property creates a serene atmosphere where the only sounds you hear are the chirping of birds and the rustle of leaves. Facilities and Activities Gram Bangla Retreat excels in providing a wholesome family experience. The property is spacious, featuring well-maintained gardens and a clean, inviting swimming pool that serves as a major attraction for kids and adults alike. For those who enjoy the rustic lifestyle, there are opportunities for: Fishing and Boating: The nearby water bodies allow for a peaceful afternoon of traditional fishing. Village Trails: You can take a walk through the Dulalpur village to experience the local lifestyle and agricultural fields. Cultural Evenings: The resort often organizes traditional folk music (Baul Sangeet) sessions, which add a magical layer to the moonlit nights. Culinary Experience The food is undoubtedly one of the highlights of this retreat. They specialize in authentic Bengali cuisine. From fresh "Pitha" (rice cakes) in the morning to "Vhorta-Bhaat" and local fish curries for lunch, the flavors are reminiscent of home-cooked meals prepared with fresh, organic ingredients sourced locally. The staff at Gram Bangla Retreat are known for their warm, "Atithi Devo Bhava" (Guest is God) hospitality. Their attentive service ensures that every guest feels like a part of the family. Its proximity to Dhaka makes it a perfect weekend getaway; it's a relatively short drive, yet it feels like a world away from the urban concrete jungle. Final Verdict Whether you are planning a corporate day-out, a family reunion, or a quiet solo retreat, Gram Bangla Retreat provides a soulful experience. It isn't just a resort; it is a nostalgic journey back to our roots, wrapped in comfort and tranquility.
Five friends, all senior citizens went to Gram Bangla Retreat for an outing last Monday. The place is quite good, gives an impression of village. The staff are cooperative. But the food is horrible. It began with coffee where the milk was burnt. But the staff changed it at our complaint. The lunch was cold, stale, we could not eat. Later few of us fell sick. This place cannot be recommended.
