Loved the benne dosa and rimjhim coffee filter and bun palkova! Would love to visit again. I absolutely loved the dosa way too much. It’s quite different than other dosas. And the chatnis were yummm!!
I’m not a very regular visitor at Sector V, however I recently visited this place and tried the cheese plain dosa along with a filter coffee, and I was genuinely impressed. The food was good, the space was clean and hygienic, and even small details were well taken care of. They provided tissues, had the spoons stored in a hot dispenser, and placed sanitizers in multiple spots which showed that they truly think about customer comfort beyond just the food. Overall, it was a really good experience. I’ll definitely visit again and recommend it to others.
On my quest to find authentic South Indian cuisine in Kolkata, I recently stopped by Mysore Canteen, Sector V, and the experience was nothing short of fabulous! I tried their Ghee Masala Dosa, Cheese Masala Dosa, Tomato Onion Uthappam, Kesari Bath, Bun Palkova, and Ghee Idli — and was absolutely delighted. The flavors instantly reminded me of the dishes I had during my Bangalore visit, bringing back a wave of nostalgia with every bite. The clear standout for me was the Bun Palkova — heavenly in taste, unlike anything I’ve had in South Indian food before. Honestly, it deserves a 10/10 all by itself! If you’re looking for authentic South Indian food in Kolkata, this is the place to stop by. I’d give it a solid 10/10 for both taste and overall experience. One small note: There’s no seating available, only tables for standing and eating but the food more than makes up for it.
