I recently visited Victoria Memorial in Kolkata and it was such a beautiful experience 🤍 The monument looks stunning from every angle — you truly get a 360-degree great view all around. The white marble architecture and greenery together make it a perfect peaceful spot. There are very nice sitting corners near the fountains, where you can relax and enjoy the calm surroundings. It’s perfect if you are going alone or just want some quiet time. A small tip: Carry a water bottle and sunglasses, especially if you are visiting during the day because it can get quite sunny. And the best part? The entry fee is only ₹50, which is totally worth it for such a lovely place! Highly recommended if you are in Kolkata 🌿✨

Seriously impressed by this beautiful memorial, museum and gardens. The architecture is stunning, a fine example of Italian Renaissance. Some interesting exhibits, particularly enjoyed the Great Indian Reformers Gallery. Unfortunately the Biplobi Bharat Gallery was closed at time of our visit. The gardens are magnificent - beautifully kept with colourful flower beds. A real oasis of calm within the busy city. One big negative - lack of facilities - only saw 2 huts for toilets and canteen was closed. With so many visitors this needs to be addressed.

Visiting the Victoria Memorial was truly a wonderful experience. I had read about this iconic monument many times in books, but seeing it in person was something completely different. The beauty and grandeur of the place are far more impressive when you stand right in front of it. The magnificent white marble structure, the vast green gardens, and the peaceful surroundings make it a very special place to visit. Walking around the memorial and exploring its history made me realize how rich and fascinating Kolkata’s heritage is. It was one of those moments where you understand that some places are much more beautiful in reality than in pictures or books. Visiting Victoria Memorial was not just sightseeing but also a memorable learning experience about history and architecture. I’m really glad I had the chance to see it with my own eyes
