Chapter 2 (Southern Avenue)

The place itself is nice and atmospheric- retro style, even the menus are made in the shape of vinyl The food is ok, though fish n chips was so-so and octopus bruschettas lacked some sauce or smth to make them more juicy. Dry. The service seemed very laid back and extremely slow: after about 1 hour of waiting we finally got main dish before appetisers (which should come first!) and were “advised” to treat it as an appetiser. One dish was forgotten. The other main dish looked very small compared to similar dishes in other restaurants at Park Street. From the dessert menu we tried ordering 2 different dishes and none were available. AC was super strong but upon request and one more reminder was finally switched off. The live music was too loud - difficult to talk. Disappointment.

For a starter, try Ham Bacon Potato Salad – generous portions of both, infused well in oil and mustard. It will be stomach filling though if you plan to take a main course, try a mixed grill sizzler that is just perfect! The chicken and seafoods are melt-in-the mouth affairs, the sauce balancing the veggies perfect. Add to it the lovely music and ambience. Better to book reservations on weekends.
