Hyderabad's Finest and tastiest Biryani. Taste is great, quality and quantity are good. My goto place for biryani since 2008. They do not use food colour at all. That's another good thing.. never had any complaints. Cooperative staff.. friendly atmosphere. Chai is also good. Lassi available in summers, good again..
I recently visited Cafe Bahar and had a bit of a mixed experience. If you’re going strictly for the food, you’ll likely leave happy, but there are a few things to keep in mind regarding the environment. Chicken Dum Biryani: This was the highlight of the meal. We ordered the portion for two, and the masala was incredibly flavorful and authentic. The spice blend is spot on. It came served with one leg piece and one breast piece, both of which were cooked well. A bit of a departure from the traditional "crispy and juicy" style. This version is much more milk-forward and creamy. If you prefer a softer, milky dessert, you’ll love it; if you’re looking for that fried bread crunch, it might not be what you expect. Hygiene: I was disappointed to see the waitstaff serving food without gloves. Seeing bare hands coming into contact with the biryani rice is a significant hygiene concern that the management should address immediately. Ambience: Don’t expect a quiet, relaxing dinner here. The restaurant is extremely noisy and the atmosphere feels a bit chaotic, which makes it hard to have a conversation. Go for the flavor, but perhaps consider takeout if you prefer a cleaner, quieter dining experience. The Biryani is easily some of the best in terms of taste, but the service standards and noise levels hold the restaurant back from a 5-star rating.
Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Bahar with friends. We started with the Chicken 65 as a starter, which was flavorful, though perhaps not the best choice for those who prefer their food with a serious kick. The star of the show, however, was the Mutton Biryani Jumbo, a dish that comfortably fed our group of six. The biryani was delicious, and the portion size was generous. The biryani itself was a highlight. The flavors were well-balanced, and the mutton was cooked to perfection. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, making each bite a delight. The Jumbo portion is definitely a good choice if you're dining with a group. Overall, Cafe Bahar offers a satisfying dining experience. If you're looking for a tasty biryani that's not overly spicy and comes in a generous portion, it's definitely worth a visit. The cost is reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive, making it a good value for money.
