Tanjore Tiffin Room, Versova – Authentic South Indian Delight! Visited **Tanjore Tiffin Room, Versova** on Sunday with a group of 12, and the experience was fantastic! The **Chicken Ghee Roast, Chicken Chintamani, and Pepper Chicken** were absolutely outstanding - rich, spicy, and packed with authentic South Indian flavors. 🍗🔥 We also loved the **Malabar Parotta, Appam, Idiyappam, and Dosa with Sambar** - soft, fresh, and perfect with the curries. Veg dishes like **Jackfruit Cutlet and Jackfruit Biryani** were surprisingly delicious, and the **Chicken Biryani** was aromatic and generously portioned. The **Mango Mint Cooler** was a refreshing highlight after the spicy feast. 🥭❄️ If the main seating area is full, they have **additional seating inside WTF**, which is very convenient during peak hours. They also offer a **tasting platter where the staff explains different curries and how they are used in cooking** - a brilliant concept for first-time visitors and food enthusiasts. The restaurant is **just ~500 meters from Versova Metro Station**, making it very easy to reach. 🚇 For around **₹9.7K for 12 people (~₹800 per person)**, the quality, quantity, and taste were totally worth it. **Highly recommended for authentic South Indian food and group outings! Good food, reasonable drinks and fine environment. Fried potatoes are good as starters, ghee roast chicken was fine (oota Bangalore beats it though). Gold member drink was awesome!! Nella… drink was good as well, but a pink drink was not that good (forgot the name). Service was good, they brought all the curries to taste before we order. Normally we think South Indian food to be restricted to dosa, idli but this restaurant introduces to other curries and flavors of South India. Great place for a fine family meal.

Excellent honest good South Indian food outside the usual boundaries of dosas and idlis. Tasting plater is a unique concept where you can experience multiple tastes and decide which one you like and them they customise it as per your requirements by adding veggies or paneer of fish or chicken. Service is als quite good.
