Rooms are good and staff members are very nice and cooperative. Only thing we felt is they have to increase Breakfast variety and south indian food what they are providing is not so great. Their Dinner is too good because it is full of North India variety. But break fast is not that level. They can improve. Hotel looks like Heritage type. Otherwise it is in the main city and only 20 minutes from Airport. Overall it is a good hotel to stay.
The hotel is certainly dated and it’s rooms reflect that. However having said that, it kept very clean and the view from the rooms facing the riverside boulevard is great. I was travelling solo but I felt safe. About the food- their portions are huge if you don’t have a great appetite. Whatever I did eat tasted good.
Visited the property today to meet some out of station guests who were in the city briefly. We tried their buffet breakfast and were very disappointed with the overall service of the restaurant staff. Being one of the oldest and one of the most well known properties in the city, we had recommended the place to our guests but were very disappointed with what we saw. servers in the dining room were least interested, food was cold at 9: 30 in the morning. we were given an option of eggs or dosa, one of the two. i mean who does that. we told them to prepare eggs when we asked. 5 mins later one of the servers comes and says eggs are ready. when we asked them why did you prepare when we didnt ask, he said what to do now, should i throw it. This is very very unprofessional behaviour from the staff. You have lost one customer today
