We had a lovely family lunch at Sidewok — a favourite of our daughter and son-in-law. The Crazy Salmon Roll, Tempura Prawns, Chicken Tom Yum, Sliced Fish, and Clay Pot Sticky Rice were all delicious, and the Picante cocktail and Hennessy V.S.O.P added a perfect touch. The place was clean, the staff courteous, and the ambience relaxed. Best of all, it was reasonably priced. A great spot for a satisfying, well-rounded meal. Excellent fare. We ordered the steam boat soup which was delicious, full of flavour, meat, and veggies. That was followed by some fried rice and a vegetarian gravy which were also piping hot and cooked just right. The lunch was capped with a solitary caramel custard which hit all the right notes and was creamy and solid and bittersweet. Overall the experience was enjoyable, the service - attentive, the food - tasty, the ambience - clean and relaxed, the price - worth it.
It’s nice to experience long standing restaurants that have maintained their quality and taste standards. A very good Chinese restaurant in Gurgaon. Their complimentary accompaniments like kimchi and pickled veggies is really nice. Sweet corn chicken soup and their egg fried rice is yum.
