We recently celebrated my wife’s birthday at JW Kitchen, Bengaluru, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. The buffet spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of dishes across cuisines. What made the evening even more special was the delightful coincidence that many Bengali favorites were part of the buffet that day including Luchi, Cholar Dal, Aloo Posto, and the ever-delicious Kosha Mangsho, all of which are my wife’s absolute favorites. The flavors were authentic, well-balanced, and beautifully prepared. The ambiance was warm and elegant, perfect for a birthday celebration, and the staff were courteous, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the evening. Overall, the combination of great food, excellent service, and a pleasant dining atmosphere made our celebration truly special. It was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely look forward to visiting again.
Went there to celebrate our Anniversary dinner after having a not so good experience at the planned resort stay. Thankfully JW Kitchen lived up to the expectations. Good spread of Buffet (even for vegetarians like us). Taste was good too. Although one small complaint can be that the food while not cold, wasn't even hot enough. Like the soup, gravies should be hot to be able to relish it well. Hence the missing 1 star on Food. Loved the hospitality, the service and the chef Ronak ensured to serve us with a specially crafted delicious Chocolate Truffle Pastry when he learnt we were there for our anniversary dinner. He himself walked up to us to congratulate and deliver the pastry. Loved this gesture! Another small suggestion, keep an option for regular water as well as while for special occasions paying 250 INR for a plain water bottle is still digestible, it could be eliminated by simple regular water. But, still 4 stars as perhaps that's how 5-star restaurants work :D
The place needs a hygiene inspection asap. We had the famous brunch buffet here and while the spread was good, we didnt expect some of the things we remotely experienced. The live counter for meat grills was laden with flies. Swarms of flies sitting on open fish, chicken and every other item, and the individual conveniently grilling and serving it. This is an easy recipe for cholera or diarrhoea. The service was cold and most people seemed to have been forced into their roles. The food spread overall was good. The highlight of our experience was Chef Tanvi! She was a lone bright light in the darkness. Immaculate attitude, warm and fulfilling service! Needless to say we wont be back again, but Chef Tanvi, thank you again!
