Olypub

Had a beer and lunch. The steak was well done so slightly tough. The mashed potatoes were a let down this time, it had large bits of potatoes and wasn't creamy at all. As we landed up around 2 PM, the crowd was less. Chilly chicken was superb. Beer was chilled. AC was very effective. Good service.

I went to Olypub on a Saturday night. We were 4 people in all. We ordered 8 different beers (650ml each and they serve complimentary chanachur unlimited times), 1 plate chilly chicken, 1 plate chilli fish and 1 plate chicken liver fry. The taste of food was top notch and very satisfying. The seats get reserved real quick so would recommend to visit this place during early evening hours so that you can get a seat. The total bill was around ₹4500 approx. There's no form of music played here. Here you can chill and gossip with your friends.

So after having been to Mocambo and Peter cat, Olys Pub was next on my list. While the old school vibe was nice and was very similar to Cafe Mondegaar in Mumbai. The food is really over rated. Tried their famous Chicken ala Kiev but would rate the one at Mocambo much higher. The steak was tasteless and a bit overdone. Would recommend this place if you are looking for a place for a drink with friends, but not for food. What was weird was the guy at the counter shouting at the top of his voice at his staff for not stopping a customer for clicking pic of their bar and then asking the customer to delete the pic. Got curious and asked around and was told that the bar apparently is illegal (not sure), this is kind of shady. Also the staff pushes you for tips and complaint if the tip amount is not of their liking which was an irritant.
