I rate Chow Chow Asian Kitchen 2 out of 5 stars. The reasons behind this rating are two main points: inconsistency and pricing. And the edited version: very poor dining experience. First, the pricing could definitely be lower. While there are occasional sales or discounts, like fire sales where you get good deals, there are times when there are no discounts at all, and it feels expensive. I’ve paid average prices, but I think they could make the pricing more consistent. It’s something they should work on. The second issue is the consistency of their food. For example, when I ask for something really spicy, they tend to throw in a lot of masala along with green chilies. The result is that the spice completely overpowers the flavor of the dish, which isn’t ideal. I’ve also had undercooked food come to me once, which we had to throw out. Another time, an item was missing from my order, and it wasn’t rectified until the third time I ordered. That kind of inconsistency is a big issue for me. In terms of the food itself, while I think the spring rolls are good, I wish they were priced a bit lower so I could buy more. A slight reduction in prices would make a big difference, but overall, it’s still a great restaurant with good value for the money. I would still recommend ordering from here, but the restaurant definitely needs to step up its game. If you contact the owner, Miss Pooja, she’s usually quite responsive and will help resolve issues. As for the dishes, I recommend the Manchurian, specifically the Cesaron Manchurian noodles—they’re cheap and delicious. The mushroom dish is also good, and the Gobi Manchurian (cauliflower) is a solid choice as well. The spring rolls are tasty, though the pricing could use some adjustment. If you're trying to get a good variety, the rice, soup, and noodles are filling, and you’ll definitely have leftovers for the next day or two. That’s my review of Chow Chow Asian Kitchen. Edited: I don't recommend coming here for dining. It's full price, the seating isn't great, there is no decent washroom, with soap, for hands (just one outside, common one) and the dining experience was very subpar. We got two bottles of water at the very end of the meal, without glasses, and were charged full price for them. Very, very strange behavior. Do NOT come here for dining. No discounts and no real dining experience. You have been warned!
Visited this place for the first time, the ambience was calm and good. Service was great. But the taste was average. Also the restaurant is overpriced for what it offers. I ordered Chilly Garlic Ramen, which they said they are known for, priced at ₹572 per portion.. I expected much better taste than what was served. Expected much better value for money.
After a crazy clubbing weekend, we showed up here, starving, at 3 am. Before this we had been to like 10 restaurants, all of them disappointed us. But this restaurant, oh my god! Such an amazing good at amazing prizes and on top of all of it, the hospitality. They were closing when we showed up. They remained open till 4 just to fill us, with police buzzing around their heads! Staff members were planning to go home but they postponed it for us. Overall, best experience of Pune in last 2 years! Really pleased with it. Mr. Amul had been really nice even at this odd hour and served sincerely
