100 Years of Pure Ghee Goodness and Underrated Sweets Worth the Hunt. If you’re looking to explore amazing yet often overlooked sweets, Haji Allauddin Sweets is a must-visit. This over 100-year-old iconic shop, tucked away on Phears Lane in North Kolkata—a quiet, lesser-known neighborhood—is a true hidden gem. Everything here is made with pure ghee, and the quality and richness are evident in every bite. The shop is especially famous for its Gulab Jamun, Mawa Laddoo, Battisi Halwa (crafted with a remarkable 32 ingredients), Gond Halwa, Doodhi/Milk Malai Halwa, Walnut Halwa, Gajar ka Halwa, and Aflatoon—all indulgent, authentic, and utterly satisfying. Even with the heavy footfall and rush, the owner and staff remain warm and welcoming, adding a special charm to the experience. A true old-school sweet shop that’s worth going out of your way for.

Nice spot. You should try and even buy in bulk their Aflatoon. It is an amazing sweet which almost feels like the original version of that poland made sweet cream fudge.

The shop is well known in this area and doesn't need any introduction for the people who keeps quality over the mind. Over the years they have kept the taste, price and quality pretty much same. During the month of holy Ramadan it's a must visit to have the different varieties of Halwa and other sweets. A must visit place indeed if you love sweets.
