We visited Balaram Mullick & Radharaman Mullick at Bhawanipore on 05/11/2025 as a family of five and this stop easily became one of the most unforgettable culinary highlights of our Kolkata trip. The moment we stepped inside, the place greeted us with its signature aroma of fresh Bengali sweets, warm, comforting and irresistible. The counters were beautifully arranged and every item looked crafted with care and tradition. We tried a variety of classics and modern favourites, and every single item was absolutely top-notch: 🍮 Baked Rosogolla – This was the star of the visit. Soft, delicate and infused with a beautiful caramelised flavour. The texture was heavenly, almost melting on the tongue. Easily one of the best versions we’ve ever tasted. 🥭 Mango Doi – Smooth, creamy, perfectly balanced with natural mango sweetness. Not overly sugary, just pure, rich flavour. This is a dessert you could keep eating endlessly. 🥤 Aam Pora Sherbat – Refreshing and delicious! Smoky mango with the right amount of tanginess. It felt like the perfect palate cleanser in between the sweets. ⚪ White Rosogolla – A true classic done right. Soft, juicy, and spongy with the perfect sugar syrup. Simple, elegant, and proof that they excel not just in innovative items but also in the traditional favourites. What made the experience even better was the overall atmosphere clean counters, well-organised displays and staff who were patient and helpful. Even though the shop was bustling, they took the time to guide us and pack everything neatly for takeaway. As a family travelling from Bengaluru, this visit was more than just a sweet stop it was a beautiful taste of Kolkata’s heritage and craftsmanship. Every bite reflected tradition, quality and the passion that this legendary brand is known for. We left with full bags, happy hearts and a promise to return on our next trip. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Bhawanipore, this place is a must-visit for every sweet lover!
