### Amity University, Gurgaon – Google Map & Student Review **Amity University, Gurgaon (also referred to as Amity University Gurugram or Amity University Haryana) receives a mix of positive and critical reviews across various major platforms and student forums.** #### Overall Ratings - **Average Student Rating:** 4.3/5 (based on over 480+ reviews) - **Popular Google Maps Summary:** Most students cite the lush campus, modern facilities, but mention distance from city and certain administrative challenges[1][2][3]. #### Key Aspects | Category | Notes | |-------------------|----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| | Infrastructure | Modern campus, clean and well-equipped labs, air-conditioned classes, strong Wi-Fi, big library, sports facilities. Hostel facilities are generally good but some cleanliness and maintenance issues are occasionally reported[1][4][3][2]. | | Placements | Many students report over 80% placement rate, with top companies (including Amazon, Google, Dell, Accenture) coming for placement drives. Packages vary by course: avg. ₹4–5LPA, highest for some programs up to ₹22–30LPA, but satisfaction with placement cell varies by department and student[1][3][2]. | | Faculty | Many praise the qualified and helpful faculty, while noting occasional lack of engagement in some departments. Student–mentor system receives positive remark, curriculum noted for practical focus[1][4][3][2]. | | Campus Life | Vibrant atmosphere, many extracurricular events and fests, sports and cultural activities, societies. Some students mention strict rules and isolated location as downsides[1][3][2]. | | Hostel & Mess | Hostel generally comfortable, decent food with many options on campus; maintenance could improve, and some report tight rules especially for female students[3]. | | Location & Transport | Peaceful setting in Manesar (outskirts of Gurgaon), but not well connected by metro/public transport[3]. | | Value for Money | Most feel it is good value if you’re seeking strong infrastructure and placements, but some feel fees are high for returns, especially if not placed with top firms[2]. | #### Sample Student Comments > “The best thing about Amity, Gurgaon is its campus—a huge green area, lots of sports and club activities. Placements are decent; make sure you build CV and skills too.”[2] > “Hostel life is fun, but maintenance and admin can be slow. Teaching quality depends on the department.”[3] > “Placements are 80%+ but high packages are for top students in CS, B.Tech, etc.; rest get average offers. Good for studies, less for city exposure because it’s far from Gurgaon main city.”[1][2] There are also mixed and critical reviews: - *Some call the rules too strict, placement support inconsistent across courses, and connectivity a major downside.*[3][2] - *A few negative reviews question value for money and transparency in claims about placements and industry exposure.*[5][2] ### Summary **Amity University, Gurgaon scores well for campus, infrastructure, and general ambience. Placements are good in professional courses and select streams, faculty are experienced and helpful, and campus life is lively. However, it is relatively far from main Gurgaon, rules can be restrictive, and the overall experience depends on the course and student expectations. Prospective students are encouraged to visit the campus and talk to current students for clarity.**

Nice place, got really great teachers in my first semester, attendance is very strict. Most comments are complaining about that, strict attendance is good and that forces students to study. Took Japanese as my foreign language and only in 6months I am able to have conversations online. Really great experience so far in my 6 months, if you can look past the "not government college" prejudice, it's a good college.
