Reaching Roastery Coffee House in Kolkata, located near Gariahat and Hindustan Park, the first thing you notice is the lively neighborhood atmosphere. The surrounding roads are usually busy with steady traffic, especially during the evening, with autos, taxis, and private cars moving through the narrow South Kolkata lanes. The area is full of small boutiques, bookshops, street food vendors, and a mix of old residential houses and modern cafés, which immediately gives the place a youthful and artistic vibe. As you approach the café, the colonial-style building with its warm lighting and greenery stands out from the surrounding structures, making it feel inviting even before stepping inside. During peak hours, especially weekends, there is often a small crowd waiting outside, which shows how popular the place has become among college students, young professionals, and coffee enthusiasts. Once inside, the ambience feels spacious and thoughtfully designed, with high ceilings, large windows, indoor plants, and a mix of wooden furniture and comfortable seating arrangements that create a relaxed yet premium café atmosphere. The seating capacity is quite large with both indoor and courtyard-style seating, making it suitable for casual hangouts, small meetings, or even quiet solo visits. Cleanliness is maintained well throughout the café, and the overall environment feels organized despite the heavy crowd. The staff are generally polite and professional, guiding customers through the menu if needed, although during busy hours the waiting time for orders can stretch to around 15–20 minutes. The menu focuses heavily on specialty coffee, and their freshly brewed options like cold brew, cappuccino, and Vietnamese iced coffee are among the most popular choices. Food options are equally impressive, with dishes like wood-fired pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, and desserts such as cheesecake and tiramisu frequently recommended by visitors. The taste of the food feels rich and well-prepared, and the portion sizes are satisfying enough for the price. In terms of cost, it falls into the mid-to-premium café category, with an average spend of around ₹700–₹1200 for two people depending on the order. Finally visited Roastery Coffee House and tried a mix of coffee, savoury snacks, and dessert. The ambience is classy and the food quality is definitely good, though a few items didn’t match my personal taste. The Brownie Blend Coffee was rich and chocolatey—perfect if you like dessert-style coffee. Cranberry Coffee was quite refreshing with a mild tang, something different from the usual coffee options. The Mini Macaroni Fish & Chips were nicely cooked and crisp, and the Mini Non-Veg Club Sandwich on multigrain bread was fresh, filling, and well put together. The Burnt Cheesecake had a good texture, but for me the egg smell was a bit too strong, so I couldn’t really enjoy it. Overall, it’s a good café with consistent quality. Some dishes may work better for some taste buds than others, but it’s still a nice spot for coffee and light bites in Kolkata. ☕🍰

Arguably one of the best cafés in Kolkata with it's classic old Calcutta heritage, delicious food,beverages and amazing service. We called for the Mutton Kheema Flatbread Pizza and their bestseller Cranberry coffee and it's safe to say neither of them disappointed us. The pizza was so incredibly savoury and cheesy that it had us reaching for more while the cranberry coffee lived up to its hype—refreshing,chilled and everything you would want in a hot summer beverage. It's definitely a place i would like to visit again.
