The food is similar, but really good. The pricing is great. You can sit inside or even outside on chairs. It’s quite basic, but there’s something very appealing about it. Like I said earlier, it’s not a fancy restaurant, but the food is great. Services very good too. We had someone called Basant serving us and he was excellent. Definitely try the filter coffee.
I suddenly got an urge to have Upma, and based on my previous experience, my mouth was already watering. This place usually makes awesome Upma. Although the quality this time didn’t fully match my earlier visit, it was still very good and satisfying. I also tried the Rava Cheese Masala Dosa. It felt a bit unusual because it was served cold, and honestly, I wasn’t in the mood to ask why, so I just ate it as it was. The taste was decent but could have been better if served hot. I ordered a filter coffee as well. It was average—not bad at all but since I’ve tasted the best at Mysore Canteen in Salt Lake Sector V, almost everything else feels average in comparison. Overall, it was a good experience. The food is nice, the place maintains its charm, and I would still recommend trying it once.
An apparently old and very popular joint, with a bit of nostalgia attached—seems even celebrities have visited over the years. The food is simple but absolutely spot-on: nothing extravagant, just perfectly done. The filter coffee was exceptionally good—rich, aromatic, and ultra satisfying. The dosa was well made, crisp, and just what you’d hope for. Service was adequate and kept things moving smoothly. Overall, a classic spot that delivers exactly what it promises.
