Visited Bar B Que today for dinner. The place is well-designed and they’ve thoughtfully added a stair-chair escalator for senior citizens, which is genuinely helpful. Now the downside — even on a weekday, we had to wait around 45 minutes to get a table. So be prepared for that. Once seated, the food definitely made up for it. We ordered: Ginger Garlic Chicken – perfectly cooked and flavourful. Chilly Honey Lotus Stem – a bit too sweet because of the sauce, but still very crispy and enjoyable. Pan-Fried Chilli Fish – fresh and tasty. Assorted Dimsum Platter – good taste, but only 5 pieces, which felt a little less. Long Island Iced Tea – strong and well-made. Tutti Frutti dessert – very tasty and a nice finish to the meal. Overall, a solid dining experience with great food and good facilities, but the waiting time can really test your patience.
Been here a couple of times. The food is always good. Most recently tried the chilli pork which was pretty good. We also got the pan fried pepper fish which I definitely recommend. We also got the chicken sui mui which was not very good. In mains I got the burnt garlic chicken fried rice which was very flavorful and tasty, the devil's chicken which ordered with it was not that good. It was a bit saucy which overpowered all flavors as that coated the tongue with every bite. We also got butter paneer, daal makhni and garlic naan which were pretty good. Given it was next to Christmas the service was not that good. We often got ignored and for sometime since we sat, we didn't have any server assigned. After placing order food was guick to arrive.
An old park street heritage where the good speaks for itself, it is extremely busy for dinner everyday of the week, we were in by 7:30 hence there was no wait, post 8:30 there where people queuing outside. It can cater to the taste buds of everyone, whether vegetarians or non vegetarians, the Chinese and the Indian selections in the menu are plenty. We had the sui mai, momos, a prawn starter along with fried rice and the chicken in the green chilli sauce, we ordered multiple rounds of the momos they were amazing. The chicken in the green chilli sauce stood out, it was light, the chicken was moist and the sauce was deceptively spicy, you can’t stop going back for it.
