We entered Pronto with high expectations. We ordered Fermented hot sauce wings, Sichuan chicken ramen and Spicy coconut chicken ramen. The fermented hot sauce wings were great. The flavour depth was nice and intense. I expected them to be a bit more spicier, but that's a personal preference. (Rating: 8.5/10) The Sichuan chicken ramen was disappointing. The broth was great with a flavourful spicy taste. The chicken lacked a balance of flavours. It wasn't really bad but the entire ramen bowl left much to be desired. (Rating: 7/10) The cpicy coconut ramen was the highlight. Amazing combination of the favours: the sweetness of the coconut married the spiciness of the broth in a beautiful way. Every part of the bowl were in sync, whether it was the flavour or taste. (Rating: 9/10) Overall rating: 8/10 Overall verdict: Great place to hangout and enjoy some really good food. Recommended.
We visited Pronto Gourmet Food, Kolkata a few months ago, and the experience still stands out as one of the best burger meals in the city. If you’re someone who enjoys bold flavours and generous portions, Pronto definitely delivers. We started with the Dynamite Chicken (₹379), which was absolutely delicious—tangy, creamy, and packed with flavour. It worked perfectly as a starter and set the tone for the meal. For mains, we ordered both the Chicken Hustler Burger (₹529) and the Pork Hustler Burger (₹559). Each burger was massive—honestly, one burger is more than enough for one person. The patties were juicy, the buns were soft yet sturdy, and the overall balance of sauces and fillings was spot-on. Interestingly, both burgers were so well-seasoned and flavourful that my friend and I could barely differentiate between the chicken and pork, which says a lot about the consistency and richness of the preparation. The quality of ingredients and portion sizes justify the pricing, though it’s definitely on the heavier side if you’re planning a full meal. Our total bill came to ₹1540 for two, which felt reasonable considering how filling everything was. Overall, Pronto is a must-visit for burger lovers in Kolkata. Great taste, satisfying portions, and food that leaves a lasting impression. If you’re craving indulgent, no-compromise burgers, this place should definitely be on your list.
I had a very disappointing experience here. For a so-called Japanese restaurant, not being able to serve ramen is extremely surprising — it’s like a Chinese restaurant not serving fried rice. That itself sets the wrong expectations from the start. After this visit, I honestly feel that the YouTube reviews might be paid promotions or sponsored content, because the reality did not match the hype at all. The food they were able to serve was average and did not meet expectations in terms of taste or quality. If you’re a true foodie, this place is not recommended — it might just ruin your mood. If you simply want to sit, gossip, and pass time, then maybe you can consider it. But even for that, there are better options available. To make matters worse, a simple mango juice took 25 minutes to arrive at the table. The service felt careless and indifferent, as if customer experience didn’t matter at all. I live in Asansol, and honestly, Hindusthan Cake Walk serves a much better, softer cheesecake — bigger in size and far superior in quality compared to what I got here. Overall, it was a pathetic experience. I am extremely disappointed and genuinely regret visiting. I don’t think I will come back again.
