Oxford Golf Resort

I am placing this review on record regarding a serious safety incident that occurred at Oxford Golf Resort, Pune during a wedding function. A large barricade installed at the venue fell directly on me, causing injury to my head, neck and back. Following the incident, I had to undergo medical examination and have been prescribed medication for inflammation resulting from the impact. This was not a minor mishap but a significant safety lapse involving unsecured or improperly supervised event infrastructure in a commercial hospitality setting. What is equally concerning is the manner in which the incident was handled. Despite repeated requests, no manager or senior representative attended to the situation. I was given ice packs and water and asked whether I required medical assistance, but there was no formal incident report prepared in my presence and no visible escalation of the matter. A venue hosting large gatherings owes a duty of care to ensure that temporary structures such as barricades are securely installed and monitored. Guests should not be exposed to preventable physical hazards. I formally request the management to: 1. Immediately preserve and review the CCTV footage of the relevant date, time and location. 2. Conduct a safety review of the installation and supervision protocols for temporary structures. 3. Issue a written apology acknowledging the incident and the inadequate on-site response. I expect a responsible and transparent response to this serious safety concern.

We stayed at Oxford Golf Club, Pune, and the golfing experience was truly beyond words—absolutely amazing. The golf course is beautifully maintained, serene, and offers a truly professional golfing experience that stays with you long after the game ends. Golfing here is an experience in itself—the lush greens, peaceful surroundings, and overall atmosphere make it unforgettable. If someone wants to experience golfing here, you either need to be a member or opt for a stay, which is totally worth it for the experience. The property also has a club with other sports facilities like squash and a swimming pool. They have their own restaurant, and the pricing is quite reasonable compared to other 4–5 star properties. The breakfast buffet was good—not very luxurious, but satisfying. It included a nice spread of Maharashtrian dishes. There were no non-veg items during our stay. The only downside for us was the room service. It felt like the main focus was more on premium members and large events (weddings, engagements, etc.). For basic requests like water bottles or room service, we had to call 3–4 times, which was disappointing. Overall, it was a good experience, especially for golf lovers. With improved room service, the stay experience could be much better.

The location the rooms and view is amazing. However we were very disappointing with the overall service from the resort. The staff only kept saying sorry for things. 1) We were staying in residences room 603 Suite room. There were cockroaches on the bed, in the fridge and near the kettle. When asked the house keeping he was very honest in saying yes there have been cockroaches for sometime now. 2) while I know the restaurant is on the opposite side and would take time for food but 1hr is not acceptable. We are fine if they said food will take time but just for glass and ice if they take 1 hr and with we reminding 4 times is when you get it. 3) any staff you talk to just says sorry and eventually they say please give us in writing then we can take actions. I guess the resort management would need to review all these things.1st experience was extremely poor as when we pay we expect basic hygiene and at least proper service. We don’t want to be difficult but with attitude of staff we have too. I would have loved to come back to the resort only for the view but don’t feel like because of the rest of the things I mentioned.
