I had the opportunity to visit The Yoga Institute, Santacruz in june 2024 along with my college mates as part of a college visit. It was truly a beautiful experience. The campus is extremely clean, calm, and peaceful — the kind of environment that instantly makes you feel relaxed and centered. The atmosphere there reflects authenticity and simplicity. Everything is well-maintained, and the overall vibe is very grounding and serene. We were also fortunate to meet Dr. Hansa Yogendra, the Director of The Yoga Institute. She is such a down-to-earth and humble person. Despite her immense knowledge and experience, she interacts with warmth and simplicity, which left a very positive impression on us. It was a memorable visit, and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience traditional yoga in a peaceful setting.
A true oasis in Mumbai 🌿✨ I came here simply to practice yoga, but left with so much more — insights, warmth, and unexpected life lessons. Grateful for all the wonderful teachers, staff, and classmates I met along the way. Everyone was so friendly and kind. This place really touched my heart. 💛
The Yoga Institute is not just a place to learn yoga it is a place where yoga is lived. Rooted deeply in tradition, this institute offers an authentic and classical understanding of yoga that goes far beyond physical practice. It’s aligned with true Indian philosophy, preserving the true essence of yoga in a world where it is often diluted. On a practical level, the training is structured, disciplined, and thorough. From asana alignment and anatomy to pranayama, meditation, philosophy, and teaching methodology, every subject is taught with clarity and precision. The faculty is knowledgeable, experienced, and genuinely invested in shaping confident, responsible yoga teachers. Emotionally, this journey has been deeply transformative. Yoga here is not treated as a fitness trend, but as a way of life, both on and off the mat. I would wholeheartedly recommend this institute to anyone seeking authentic yoga knowledge and meaningful personal growth.
