We arrived fairly late—close to closing time around 11 pm—so only a few tables were occupied on the terrace. The restaurant sits atop a heritage haveli that now functions as a boutique hotel, owned by an old business family. The rooftop setting is charming, well decorated, and has a strong heritage feel—quiet, atmospheric, and very different from regular city restaurants. The meal is a fixed vegetarian Gujarati thali experience, as expected. It starts with three to four varieties of sweets, followed by chaat, salads, rotis, and rice, along with multiple vegetable dishes and dals. Personally, I have had better Gujarati thalis elsewhere. Many items leaned heavily toward the sweeter side, which is typical of the cuisine but not fully to my taste. That said, the experience itself is worth trying at least once. Service was warm and engaging. The manager and staff were happy to chat, explain the dishes, and talk about the culture, which added to the evening. Would I rush back? Probably not—but as a one-time visit for the ambience and traditional rooftop dining experience, it is worth checking out if you are in Ahmedabad.
