Our compliments to the chef at Zing! Every item we ordered was done perfectly. We ordered the thai broccoli, mushroom ghee roast, chilli basil noodles, naan, draught beer and manga thenga (a mocktail). All the items were excellent. Service is good too but the waiters should be able to explain the items on the menu without having to check with the manager. The ambience and interiors are great too. We visited during lunch time on a sunday and it was not too crowded. I’m sure it would be packed during the evenings. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Had an amazing experience at Zing Rooftop! The ambience is absolutely stunning with a beautiful rooftop view, great music, and a perfect vibe for both friends and family outings. The food was delicious, especially the starters and cocktails, and the presentation was top notch. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. One of the best rooftop dining spots in Chennai for a chill evening and aesthetic photos. Highly recommended!

I am writing this review with deep disappointment. To begin with, the ambience, service, food, and overall experience were excellent, and I would have confidently given a 5-star rating for those aspects. We visited as a family of seven, including a one-month-old baby, and everything was comfortable and well managed. The city view from the top was beautiful, and the DJ initially played Hindi and English dance numbers that were enjoyable. However, a highly unacceptable incident changed our entire perception. Since this restaurant is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, we politely requested the DJ to play a few Tamil songs so everyone could enjoy. He bluntly stated that it was a “rule” not to play Tamil songs and added that they wanted to “maintain standards” and asked us not to make it an issue. This statement is extremely offensive and disrespectful to the local language and culture. Suggesting that Tamil songs are not up to “standards” is unacceptable, insensitive, and reflects poorly on the establishment. Such a policy, if it truly exists, is discriminatory in nature and should be reviewed immediately. Management must take this seriously and address it, because comments like these damage the reputation of the restaurant far more than they realize. Customers deserve respect for their language, culture, and identity—especially in the very city where that language belongs. Planning to formally register a complaint.
