This place is very good for hygienic, peaceful, and family friendly lunch/dining experience. Honestly this branch is very expensive as compared to other of its branches maybe because of its posh locality. You may look at my photographs and snaps to get a quick idea of the vibe of the place.
Excellent taste, quick service. Portions also good... Very nice ambience, also have sweet shop here
If you visit the ISKCON Temple in Mayapur, a stop at Govinda’s Restaurant is a must — whether you’re a local devotee, a pilgrim, or a curious international traveler. Govinda’s is the official vegetarian restaurant run by ISKCON, and it perfectly reflects the temple’s spirit of purity, devotion, and hospitality. The food here is 100% sattvic — meaning it’s prepared without onion, garlic, or any intoxicants — yet it’s full of rich flavor and variety. Every dish feels both wholesome and satisfying. You’ll find North and South Indian meals, Bengali thalis, Chinese options, pizzas, pastas, sweets, and fresh fruit juices, all made with care and cleanliness. Their thali meals are especially popular — generous portions served with rice, dal, sabji, paneer curry, puri, and a sweet. It’s simple, balanced, and delicious. The atmosphere is calm and devotional, with soft spiritual music playing in the background. The restaurant is spacious, air-conditioned, and family-friendly, and the staff are polite and respectful — many are devotees themselves. Prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the quality and hygiene standards. International visitors will appreciate that the food is mild, non-spicy, and prepared with bottled water — perfect for sensitive stomachs. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful meal after temple darshan or just want to experience authentic vegetarian cuisine rooted in spirituality, Govinda’s Restaurant is one of the best places to eat in Mayapur. Recommended dishes: Special Thali, Paneer Butter Masala, Vegetable Chowmein, and their signature sweets like Sandesh and Rasgulla. ⭐ Rating: 4.8 / 5 Ideal for: Families, pilgrims, vegetarians, and international guests looking for pure, soulful food in a serene environment.
