Cozy ambiance and great service! The server recommended the chili cheese toast and it did not disappoint—perfectly crisp, cheesy, and with the right amount of spice. The waffle was good as well, though it came with quite a bit of nuts, granola, and raisins (great if you enjoy that). With the fresh fruit, I didn’t even need the syrup. My favorites were definitely the cheese toast and the chai. I also picked up a bag of their coffee beans, which are perfect for making coffee at home or even garnishing espresso martinis.
Very tasty food! We had Aubergine Teriyaki, Pepperoni Pizza, Fresh Lime Soda, Rosemary Fennel Lemonade and Chocolate Profiterole. The Aubergine Teriyaki is a must try! Amazing flavors with the nice texture of aubergine and black rice. The Rosemary Fennel Lemonade tasted amazing with it. The ambience is also good, nice jazz music. Good service as well.
Visited Kala Ghoda Cafe during the Kala Ghoda Festival with friends, and what a find this place turned out to be. Tucked away inside a small lane, it’s a little difficult to spot. After the madness of the fest, this café felt like a lake in a desert, felt calm, comforting, and exactly what we needed. The vibe is warm and lively at the same time, with a charming setup and even a hidden bar counter that adds to the character of the place. Coming to the food and drinks, they are the absolute winners. I tried the Masala Cappuccino, and it was truly unique, with a lovely kick of masala chai flavours blended into the coffee. Something I’ve never had before and surprisingly addictive. The Cheese Chilli Toast, recommended by the waiter, did not disappoint—super cheesy with perfectly crispy bread. The Cottage Cheese Burger was honestly to die for, easily one of the best vegetarian burgers I’ve had—flavourful, filling, and perfectly balanced. And the real star of the show was the Hash Brown dish “Rosti, crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and just cooked to perfection. Absolute comfort food. Overall, great food, lovely coffee, welcoming vibes, and a peaceful break from the festival rush. Kala Ghoda Cafe is definitely a place I’d keep coming back to.
