Found a good collection of Classic European Literature Novels and dramas, Indian Literature books, Contemporary Books by writers Sudha Murthy, Amitav Ghosh, Chitra Divakurni and so on. It even has fascinating encyclopedias and Children's illustrated book. One can even get a hand on Bengali Books of Tagore, translated books of Manto and even books on philosophy. There are books on other publishers like Niyogi Bookstore, Penguin, Fingerprints and so on. Even one can get a hands on the "Select Classics" Collection and Novel Sets, as in Agatha Christie, Dostovesky to name a few. The staffs were very helpful and helped me to find certain copies of books as well as with the pricings. And yes, they ask to keep backpacks and even water bottle in the counter, unless and until you are attending an event. One gets a token and then has to show that at the time of getting out, to receive back the items. I was really lucky to have been able to attend Aninda Sir's talk on 'Akinchit' which had a pretty well arrangement on the 2nd floor (its a wooden type stair with no Elevator, but not so much hassle is there in climbing). The food was pleasant to taste, we had hot chocolate drink, cappuccino and starters. Overall it was a good experience for me and I hope will be for any book lover.

One of renowned book stores. But my experience with them is not good enough. Because after entering they asked everyone to leave their stuffs like backpacks, shopping bag etc with a security guard and they give you a token for that, despite of not having any keeping counter. They keep your items on floor, which I hate about this place. Atmosphere is not so noisy which is good. They have plenty amount of book collection of all genres.

Always a pleasure to visit this heritage book store which not only has an inclusive collection of new and old books but also a section on stationary and is home to a literary event. Additionally the coffee and food from cha bar adds to the charm
