Great value south Indian meals for 135Rs. Meals served upstairs. Good quick service. Sambar, rasam, kurma all really good.

The place has an old world vibe to it and I've always seen it spic and span. When I'm Majestic area, this is my go to place and I've been visiting for 20 years now. I've had the meal, which incidentally you also get in the evenings and that's not a common thing. The thali is the usiayatufd - poori, sagu, rice, saru , palya and curd. Sumptuous. Among the tiffin things, imo, the rasam vada ans ragi dose are their star items. The rasam is tangy, mildly spicy and hot. The ragi dosai is an entire meal in itself. I saw rava vada and mangalore buns added to their menu this time but couldn't have them. An amusing new thing I found is that when I asked for gatti chutney, they said it would come at additional payment of INR 5. I had no hesitation in paying it. Their coffee is always aromatic and flavourful. The service is usually prompt. They have a dining space upstairs as well and I have never had to wait even on crowded days. Near the cash counter, they also have a fairly good collection of sweets and savouries in case you want to pack some. Almost always, I make it a point to have either the chiroti or peni. Both these items are not found commonly, atleast where I come from. They are bith delicious, though I have always ended feeling they can be a little more generous with the milk you douse it with. Despite that, these two items are a must try.
