Zydus Hospitals

I visited Zydus Hospitals, Ahmedabad for my father treatment. The doctors are well experienced, the medical care is also good, and the staff behavior is generally professional. The hospital facilities are also well maintained. However, there are some serious concerns that need attention. First, the hospital is extremely expensive. Charges are 2 to 2.5 times higher for almost everything. The consultation fee alone is ₹1600, which is very high. The Radiology Department is highly disappointing. For every medical test, patients are made to wait up to 2 hours. There is heavy crowding due to limited machines and limited technician staff. Despite paying such high fees, patients are forced to keep waiting with no proper explanation. Even after our test number arrived, we were made to wait for 1.5 additional hours because they prioritized other crowded tests like USG. Patients who arrived after us were taken before us. If the line is long, the hospital should increase machines and staff — especially when charging premium prices. Another major issue is the hospital pharmacy. Medicines that cost ₹100 outside are sold here for ₹300–₹400. Charging 3 to 4 times more for the same combination strips is unreasonable. There is also insufficient seating considering the heavy crowd. Administrative processes often feel slow. Even in this premium hospital, you still have to stand in long queues everywhere like any other regular hospital, and by the time reports are ready, it often feels like the doctor’s consultation hours are already over. Overall, the doctors and treatment quality are good, but patients should not feel like ATM cards. Being a private hospital does not justify excessive pricing and long waiting times. I hope the management seriously reviews these issues and works toward improvement.

Excellent experience at Zydus Hospital. Very clean and hygienic environment with supportive and polite staff. Doctors are cooperative, knowledgeable, and explain everything clearly. Smooth services and great care overall. Definitely the best hospital experience till date and truly value for money. Highly recommended.
